Pink and Silver wedding flowers

I have known Laura and her family for a few years and was delighted to be asked if I could design her wedding flowers.

The style of the wedding was to be country and the main colours to be pink. It was quickly decided a hand-tie style was appropriate for Laura and her 6 bridesmaids, who were wearing a lovely shade of blue. The flowers were briefly discussed but the final content was left up to me to decide.
Laura's bouquet consisted of Sweet avalanche and Sudoku roses, Gracia spray roses, stocks, sweet peas, astrantias, gueldarose, asparagus fern, ivy and baby blue eucalyptus.

The stems were completely bound with silver ribbon and a silver organza bow to finish.

Stocks, Sudoku and Sweet Avalanche roses, Astrantia
The six bridesmaids all carried a similar design although smaller and neater.

Two bridesmaids bouquets
The groom wore a Sweet Avalanche rose with an astrantia flower and gueldarose with ivy to match with his bride.
The Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom wore matching corsages. Keeping in with the colour scheme they had a Sudoku rose with pink eustoma, Gracia spray roses, larkspur buds and pink gyp with baby blue eucalyptus.
All the ladies of the bridal party wore a single Sudoku rose with pink gyp and baby blue eucalyptus.
All the men of the bridal party wore a single Sweet Avalanche rose with ivy leaves.
Some of Laura's flowers all boxed up and ready for delivery.

English country style bouquets

I first met Lucy at The Lincoln Wedding Fayre where I was displaying in The Judges Lodgings back in October.
When we met for a consult she had a clear idea on what flowers and style she wanted and had gathered a few pictures to show me. The wedding was going to fairly informal with a country feel to it with a marquee in the garden for the reception, and the flowers reflected this;
Peonies, large bloom roses, sweetpeas and heather.
The two smaller bridesmaids carried hand-tie posies of peonies, sweetpeas, Heaven, Lenny and Prima donna roses with sprigs of heather.

Bridesmaids Hand-tie posies
The Maid of Honour carried a hand-tie bouquet of Peonies, Heaven, Lenny and Prima donna roses, sweetpeas and heather.

Lucy carried a larger hand-tie full of gorgeous pink, cream and lavender flowers.
Peonies, Sweetpeas, Akito and Heaven roses, Clear Ocean spray roses an Heather.
Brides Hand-tie Posy
Lucy gave me the fabric to wrap around the stems of the bouquets.
The peonies will have continued to open throughout the day and the scent from these, the sweetpeas and roses was divine.

Thank you

This is the wedding of Marie and Eliott, images are copywrite of the bride and groom or Sandra's flower studio.
Marie also sent the following by e-mail:
Hi Sandra,

Just wanted to send you a few photo's from our day so you can see how magical it all turned out and to let you know how so many people have commented on our beautiful flowers and said how perfect they were and how pretty and harmonious the colours were. As I said before, they exceeded even my hopes and imagination so thank you for making our ideas a reality. What you did with the cake was fabulous too and to just walk into the room and see it finished was amazing (and a huge relief as I was so worried about the giant toppers!) but you did a fantastic job, on the spot and without so much as a whisper to worry me! Thank you again and if you'd like to use any of the photos on your websitem we have the copyright so that's fine.

Many thanks,

Marie

Thank you

Another lovely e-mail received from a bride and groom from April.

Hello Sandra

Gary & I would like to day thankyou so much for the lovely flowers you made for our wedding. They were perfect. Everyone commented on how beautiful they were.

I have attached a couple of photo's for you to have a look at.

Before we went away on our honeymoon we took them to the cemetery and put them on our grandparent's graves.

I have passed on your business cards to a few friends, hope they get in touch with you.

Again many thanks

Angela & Gary Parnham xx

Feedback is always appreciated, and photos are an added bonus.

This is a sample of the colours and flowers used to create Maries wedding. When I got involved she had her dresses sorted and wanted candelabras on the tables and had decided on soft pinks and creams for the main flowers.
