Red wedding bouquets

Today we are back on our series of colour for your bouquet and are featuring Red flowers.
Now red isn't just red, there are many shades from Rose red, ruby, cherry, wine, scarlet, crimson and burgundy.
The most common and romantic of them all is the red rose. Seen by many as the must have red flower, it comes in all shades from bright pillar box red to dark crimsons and burgundy.

Team with the ever popular gyp

or add in ivory roses and berries for a winter feel.

For a 50's inspired day add in lots of asparagus fern

or for a glamorous style red roses en masse with lots of lush dark green leaves and bear grass swirls.

Team dark crimson roses with blush roses if you don't like red and white/ivory together.

Freesia make excellent partners with red roses, although red freesia tend to be more on the red/orange spectrum.

Red roses with ivy and gyp and added sparkle diamante.

For a darker look in autumn we have beautiful dahlia (these come in many shades of red) team with lily, orchids and roses with lots of seasonal foliage.

For a posy style red dahlia, roses and calla lily styled with thistle and eucalyptus.

Roses and gyp are another favourite, these are a beautiful scarlet shade

Or scarlett roses with ivory calla.

Red can be added not just with flowers but berries too.

Dark red anthurium with dark red gerbera and white lily make a striking shower bouquet

Or red and blush roses with berries and amaranthus and lots and lots of eucalyptus in a beautifully full over arm design.

Found on Pinterest, a guide to some other fabulous red flowers suitable for bouquets.

If you are having a red theme, let us help you choose the perfect blooms. We don't have many brides choose all red but we do have many more options through the seasons for you to choose from. Be different and be bold! Choose a fire colour to brighten your winter wedding or stand out amongst the pastel and whites of your peers summer weddings.

Elsham Hall wedding flowers

Today we continue our look at beautiful wedding venues around the county.
If you are looking for a barn type venue for your wedding then you won't go far wrong with Elsham Hall. Elaine and her team are fabulous and have an Aladin's  cave of all things to add to your day.
If however you want gorgeous fresh flowers then these set ups were arranged by Sandra here at The Flower Studio.

The archway is a fixture at The Barn but we can dress it in your style and colours in beautiful fresh flowers and foliage. What a gorgeous piece to say your vows underneath.

Or dressed with organza and one of our gorgeous table displays to add fragrance to your vows.

Or flowers and fairy lights for a truly magical setting.

For something different try lego table toppers

or what about simple jars of a few stems to add a romantic touch to the day.

Lots of choice even for the registrars table, and this is only one design!!

Move your registrar table design across to the top table, the wonderful team here will sort this for you on turn around.

Add in lots of gorgeous colour with these beautiful scented garden roses

or go pale pinks for a dreamy design.

Add in dramatic pedestals as a back drop for your signing of the register photos, keeping the front designs beautifully simple.

A breathtaking setting for your vows however you dress it.

A barn really lends the space to pedestals, with ultra high ceilings and lots of space in corners to fill.

Move the ceremony designs behind the top table, make use of all your flowers all day

Whether you choose lots of colour to match Lego pieces

or go with Cath Kidston inspired shades

or blacks and ivory

the venue will take any colour there is.

Beautiful tall vases adorned with peach and blue designs

later transferred to the guest tables

as were these stunning hot air balloon designs.

A country lass/lad at heart? Then wellington boots may just fit the bill.

Small cream candelabras can be filled with many types of flowers

and sit perfectly on your guest tables.

Keep them simple with roses and gyp

add garden roses for a room full of scent

or add in lace and lights for a romantic touch.

Love low designs, then how about filling vases with your favourite blooms?

Either one variety or a mixture

Use them firstly on the radiator covers then move to groups on your guest tables.

Open up the little alcoves and sit perfectly formed little designs in, maybe keep as gifts for the ladies afterwards?

The radiator covers (especially when radiators are not in use) are a perfect place to add colour to your ceremony and wedding breakfast. Whether you use your table designs or go all out and add there own display the room will be a flowery wonderland.

If you are getting married at Elsham Hall and would like to discuss your fresh flower designs we have many more settings and options for you.
We love a barn setting as it is a space you can truly personalise with flowers.
