Beautiful summer wedding flowers at The Coach House at Doddington Hall

The setting for this summer wedding was the fabulous Coach House at Doddington Hall.
The colours and flowers continued in theme from the bridal party (see blog post here)

The ceremony table was adorned with a semi circle design of roses, eustoma, peony, alstroemeria ands mixed foliage. This would later be added to the base of the table flowers to enhance the top table design.

The aisle chairs were fabulously decorated with small hanging hurricane vases filled with summer blooms of roses, peony ammi, stocks and foliage. All tied on with an ivory satin bow. Again to reuse and make the most of the flowers, these were transferred to the windowsills for the reception.

The ceremony area all set for the bride and groom and their guests.

At the back of the ceremony room there are a couple of coffee tables and it is always lovely to pop some gorgeous blooms on here to guide the way through to the main reception area.

The guest tables were treated to our tall conical vases topped with a flower ball of mixed summer blooms. We added hydrangea to peony, roses, stocks, alstroemeria, carnations and chrysants with the mixed foliage.

Many of these flowers are scented, adding another dimension to your setting.

The wonderful Coach House set for the wedding breakfast.
(Chairs are transferred from the ceremony room)

The view as you enter the reception area.

View from the top table out to the secret garden area.

We always enjoy designing and setting up our flowers at this glorious venue.
All flowers are yours to keep and we collect all hired items the next morning, usually before you have left, one less thing for you to do!

If you are getting married here, or love our designs and want to discuss options at another venue please get in touch to see how we can transform your venue with beautiful blooms.

Judges Lodgings - Bailgate wedding fair

We are looking back to some of the wedding fares we have exhibited at.
Below are 2 of the set up from The Judges Lodgings as part of The Bailgate Wedding fair.

This lovely pink themed one has many ideas for your day.

The gorgeous rustic archway, which you can either say 'I Do' underneath, have in you group photos as a back drop or behind the top table (or a combination of all 3!!)

It can be decorated in many ways but here we have corner designs of hydrangea, protea, gerbera, amaranths, roses and gyp.

The whole display to catch your eye as you enter the room.

Chair back fresh roses, how divine would that scent be for your guests?

Our crystal gem chimney candelabra, 100cm tall, hired with church candles. Here displayed with foliage garland entwined around the arms and stem. Hanging from each arm is a single rose with crystal pin attachment. Colours can be matched to your theme.

A hand tie posy of roses, gerbera, hydrangea, gyp and thalaspi foliage. Perfect for a pretty pink wedding.

Mercury vases can be filled with all manor of flowers; here we have a country style of carnations, hydrangea, chrysants and gyp with ears of corn and thalaspi.

What about a watering can for your guest tables? Keeping the country/garden style theme, these were filled with pink roses, gerbera, gyp corn, pheasant feathers and foliage.

All these items are available for hire; 'Sit wherever your hearts desires' sign, crates, wicker lanterns, LOVE, wood slices, watering can (above)

Winter wedding at Washingborough Hall

The ceremony and reception of yesterday's wedding were held at the beautiful Washingborough Hall Hotel. If you are looking for an all in venue with beautiful grounds then this has to be on your list. A Georgian manor house that is privately owned and has been lovingly restored makes a perfect venue for you and your guests.
The ceremony takes place in the gorgeous Winston room and Catriona kept the theme of gyp throughout the displays. A long gyp display adorned the ceremony table while large lanterns decorated the aisle.

Pumpkin vases of gyp were also dotted around the windowsills and plinths.

For the wedding breakfast gyp balls were sat on low conical vases allowing guests clear vision across the table allowing the natural flow of conversation.

In case you are wondering the chairs are brought in from the ceremony room while photographs are being taken. The tables are also spread out between the two rooms allowing lots of natural light in.

The top table had the gyp display from the ceremony display plus another section added and then the pumpkin vases were displayed along the rest of the length.

More tomorrow as I show you some of the professional images.

If you are getting married here at Washingborough Hall or any other Manor House venue please give me a call so we can discuss how you may set your flower style.

Guest table ideas

Looking for venue ideas? Today I'm looking at some of the different options available.
Above are a mix of high and low designs both with pink lilies and willow. The height works well in a marquee drawing the eye through the venue but not overpowering you with the addition of the low designs.
Fish bowls are a popular option with many different flower designs. These are a hand tie of Iris, roses and thistles with eucalyptus.
Another conical vase arrangement with a mixed design of lilies, amaranthus roses, gerberas and mixed foliage.
A low zinc bucket sprayed to match the brides colour scheme with a variety of summer blooms.
Glass cubes with classic white blooms of Calla and oriental lilies and curcumas these were on low coffee tables in the venue as well as on guest tables.
An autumnal mix of flowers in a low cylinder adds colour especially on a dark cloth. But why stick with white?
A cute idea for a tea party. We used tea, coffee and sugar containers with 5 gerberas and added in iced gems.
Carnations are staging a comeback and these are fabulous for a purple themed wedding. A table ring of bi coloured carnations and gyp with midelino loops.
Another quirky idea for a village fete or garden theme, wellington boots. Add in some gorgeous summer blooms and foliage.
Going for the minimalist look? Calla lilies in a bowl.
A taller minimal design.Willow and gerberas but using the vase as part of the whole design.
Roses in lily vases work with the room to add a little height to the tables without distracting from the room decor.
Large martini vases add a statement to a room. They work very well in a blank canvass as a marquee.
Low martini vases are an alternative to the fish bowls.
Add a block of colour to your tables with a fish bowl filled with one flower. These can then be given away as gifts for your guests.
If you want to co-ordinate your table designs with a hard to match in flowers colour, wrap a container in matching material.
Traditional posies are still a popular choice and are a self contained gift for guests.
Have personal containers you want to incorporate? This was from a brides collection of tea pots. All tables had a different tea pot but the same flowers which tied the theme together.
 Candles work well in bowls.
 Or in small martini vases.
Candleabras don't have to be tall. Try these cute alternatives.
A vintage them? Tea party? Include a tea service into your designs.

These are just a small selection of what is available. I can design and create so much more.....ask to see more.
