Pastel wedding bouquets

Our last look in this series at colour for your bouquets is pastels.
Everyone's take on pastel is different, some like lots of muted colours, others like just one shade of say pastel pink or blue. No one is wrong - as long as you know which shades you are using and can communicate that to your suppliers. Remember - flowers should bring each element of your day together so each part compliments the other.

A mix pastel bouquet with pink, blue, cream seasonal flowers for the bride

and bridesmaid.

Dusky pink and ivory roses

Blush roses, pinks, whites and creams.

Country style flowers at The Dower House Hotel

I was lucky to set up at the fabulous Dower House Hotel two weeks running as C & A held their wedding reception here following on from this one last week.

The table centrepieces were in keeping with the bridal bouquets of a mix of country style flowers. These were made into posies and placed in our plain hurricane vases which were decorated with pretty blue ribbon.

To finish off the country look the jars were placed on our log slices. These worked really well with the lovely moss numbers for the tables.

The Dower House really is versatile, so many styles work well within this hotel and each set up we do is individual to the couple.

The flowers used were ammi, eustoma, carnations, santini chrysants, nigella, alstroemeria and gyp with some eucalyptus foliage.

This was an early wedding, ceremony 11.30 am (at Church) and as such our early delivery of the bridal bouquets and quick set up in church meant for once the hotel hadn't quite turned the room around from breakfast. The guest tables were ready but not the top table but as lovely as ever the staff offered to put the 3 vases on the table once they were ready. It is little touches like this which
makes setting up here so lovely.

The view the bride would see from the top table.

This photo shows the designs from above so you can see the variety of flowers within.

Are you getting married at The Dower House Hotel? More set ups here
Or do you simply love this style? More here.
Either way do get in touch to discuss how we can create your flowers and help you achieve your flowery dreams.

Country style wedding flowers in gorgeous pastel colours

This was a gorgeous country style wedding with a pastel colour theme of pale pink, blue, cream and ivory.
Clare, the bride, chose gorgeous seasonal flowers of Nigella, Euston, Carnations, Alstroemeria, freesia, santini chrysants, ammi and gyp wit eucalyptus foliage.

She also chose to have a lovely large satin bow adorn her bouquet with long ribbon trails.

The 3 bridesmaids had similar style bouquets

with the same mix of flowers and a neat compact bow with trails to finish.

The bridal bouquets all together

The cute flower girl carried a silver heart wand with a corsages of nigella, eustoma, alstro and gyp.

The groomsmen each wore a natural style buttonhole of a eustoma flower and buds with an alstroemeria flower, gyp and sprig of eucalyptus. All tied together with shoestring satin ribbon.

The groomsmen buttonholes all ready for delivery.

The mum's each wore a lapel corsage of eustoma, freesia, santini heads and gyp with eucalyptus foliage.

A cute page boy deserves a cute buttonhole. This was a Nigella flower, eustoma bud, few gyp balls and foliage. These are given on a safety pin.

The grooms, mums and page boy buttonhole all ready for delivery.

Doddington Hall civil ceremony and reception flowers

F & C wedding was at Doddington Hall in The Coach House. This is a gorgeous building with it's own sheltered garden. You can also have your ceremony in one room and reception in the other and then later on party the night away back in the first room.

The ceremony table was dressed with a flower runner across its length. Very natural in style with whispy trails of Jasmine it contained the same flowers as the bridal bouquet.

This would later be transported to the top table for the wedding breakfast.

The ceremony table and aisle

The aisle although very with modern chivari chairs you can still add pew ends. These were small hurricane vases with metal hangers tied with gorgeous satin ribbon bows filled with daisies.

For the reception the bride and groom provided me with jugs to fill with an assortment of flowers.
I am more than happy to use any jugs or vases that you want to use but please do make sure they are watertight, not everything you think should be is! I made the couple aware of this and on testing these jugs were not. Sealant was used and we were good to go. No one wants soggy tables!

The flowers were once again matching the bride's bouquet, gerbera, roses, spray roses, freesia, bouvardia, daisies and eucalyptus and Jasmine.

The coach house  table set up.

Lovely view from the table to the garden.

This was set with 6 guest tables, chairs to come in after the ceremony.

We also provided some flower decorations for the sweet table set up

table plan and welcome boards. These are a lovely way to greet your guests and start your reception theme off.

If you have booked Doddington Hall or any similar venue around Lincolnshire or want to steal this style for your own day please get in touch to book a consultation today. Dates are going fast for 2017 and 2018 diary is now open. We would love to help you achieve your flower dreams.
