Sunflowers at Markham Moor Inn

Our lovely couple held their summer wedding breakfast at The Markham Moor Inn.

Low posies made a bright table centrepiece using the same flowers as the bridal bouquet, sunflowers, freesia and cornflowers, with the addition of yellow chrysants and yellow spotted laurel.

Small yellow santini chrysants are like mini sunflowers

The wedding cake was adorned with more sunflowers, freesia and cornflowers

Cake topper of sunflowers and freesia and corsages on each tier

Small posies were provided for adding to small jars collected by the bride for extra decoration

Lastly a thank you hand tie in the same wedding flowers for that extra special person who helped set the day.

Sunflowers are not to everyones taste at a wedding but they are a bright happy flower and add a sense of fun to the day.

Wedding flowers at Washingborough Hall

Today we continue our series of local wedding venues and another fabulous one we love dressing is Washingborough Hall.
Recently extended it can now cater for a larger wedding and the rooms are stunning. A perfect venue for a country house hotel wedding.

The entrance is appealing straight away, the stone steps can have added decoration like our bay trees or garlands around the posts.

For your ceremony, simple designs such as these wine glasses can add a spice of colour to the neutral surroundings

or stay neutral with a table runner of gyp. Beautiful lanterns and candlelight will add to the atmosphere.

Beautiful stone pedestals adorned with a traditional style pedestal will brighten up any corner.

Such a beautiful room you may decide doesn't need large flower displays. Keeping it low with table posies will add a romantic feel to the room.

Our cute pumpkin vases can hold small posies of blooms such as gyp to add elegance to the windowsills.

More table posies for your guest tables

or for a more modern take, wooden crates will work with a true country set up.

want something more glamorous? Our tall candelabras certainly bring more elegance to the room

table rose petal confetti will bring a touch of colour lower down.

Not a lover of candles? These flower balls floating on clear vases have been a hit. We have various size glassware to suit any occasion. Always with your guests comfort for ease of conversation in mind.

Don't forget your top table. You may be holding court to your guests but your table should shout celebration! Our long and low designs can be as vibrant or otherwise as you like. Loads of trailing or not depending on your take and other decorations you have.

Not a fan of one design? Here we had 3 wooden crates with jars of lavender and gyp between, the recent was outstanding with mixed herbs in the crates.

Bring that scent to your guests and fill the room with summer scents.

Lots of love for this venue, we have seen many changes within over the years. Always a pleasure to dress and style for the room and staff.

If you are holding your ceremony and wedding breakfast here or for that matter at another country style hotel, get in touch to see how we can transform the room to your personal style.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon

Ladies evening at The Bentley Hotel

This was a ladies ball last November held at The Bentley Hotel. We were asked to provide simple table designs in autumn colours that didn't take up much room. As you can see the tables are quite full of menus, gifts, glasses etc. Please do bear this in mind when discussing your table designs - how much other stuff will there be?

We had free reign on the flowers so we chose seasonal orange gerbera, red roses, autumn English Chrysants and red cyclamen with a mix of locally sourced foliage.

It was quite dark when we set up but the flowers did stand out against the pale table set up and chair covers.

If you are holding a ball or corporate event and would like flower displays for the tables do get in touch. We can work with any reasonable budget to create bespoke designs in corporate colours or flowers.

All Saints Harmston and DoubleTree By Hilton Wedding

Following on from yesterday's bridal bouquets, today we have the church and reception flowers.
The wedding was held at All Saints Harmston  and we were asked to decorate the archway above the entrance. This is a lovely but simple design of a foliage garland with alternate blush and ivory roses and an organza bow in the centre.

A lovely touch on the walk up to the church, great to have photos taken underneath too!

Inside we decorated with pedestals and pew ends

All Saints aisle bride view
The pew ends had a simple organza bow with a central rose, alternating with blush and ivory down the aisle

The traditional style pedestals were a combination of ivory, blush and to add a little extra color some mid pink. These were transported to the reception after the service.

The wedding breakfast was held at The DoubleTree By Hilton on Lincoln Brayford in The Cathedral Room.

The top table had two matching posies of roses and freesia and ruscus foliage.

The guest tables had a mixture of compact flower balls on tall lily vases and posies as the top table

Unfortunately they were still setting up when we arrived and as such the chairs and glassware were yet to be placed.

If this is your chosen venue please get in touch to see how we may help you add that personal touch of flowers to your wedding set up.
