Gyp and thistle wedding

A lovely gyp based wedding from a while ago that got missed on the blog.

A slight twist on the usual gyp bouquet for the bride with added blue thistles and trails of ivy to add movement to the design as you walk down the aisle.

The bridesmaids each carried a posy of gyp with added shoestring ribbon trails.

The lovely flower girl carried a basket of gyp and thistles decorated with satin burgundy ribbon and cute bows.

The bride also wore gyp in her hair, and we provided 6 wired sprigs so the hair dresser could attach.

The groom wore a single thistle head with trig of gyp and and ivy leaf as his buttonhole.

While the rest of the groomsmen wore a single thistle hard and ivy leaf. All stems were bound with twine.

The ladies wore a corsage of gyp. The bride had asked for an elongated shape rather than the usual round bunch. We added white ribbon around the stems and a cute bow.

Buttonholes at the ready for delivery.

We also provided thank you flowers for the speeches

and a single table display for the wedding breakfast table. This included white lily, roses, gyp, and seasonal foliage.

Another intimate wedding party we created flowers for. Whatever size of your day we can style your flowers and deliver to your venue on the wedding morning.

If you love what we do, book a consultation to discuss your flowers soon, and let us take you on a flower adventure

Blue and Ivory wedding party flowers

Lucy came to me through a recommendation from Elaine at Bride Beautiful at Elsham Hall.
She wanted lots of fresh flowers included in her wedding day both for the bridal party and for the reception.

The colour scheme was blue and ivory and on seeing a previous design I had created fell in love with the design. We changed some flowers and added in some extras to keep it unique to Lucy, blue hydrangea, thistle, gentiana, ivory roses, spray roses, seeded and blue eucalyptus.
The stems were bound with ivory satin ribbon.

The five bridesmaids each carried a similar style bouquet with blue hydrangea and ivory roses, spray roses and white thistle and eucalyptus.

The groomsmen all wore a buttonhole of and ivory rose, thistle head and hydrangea floret.

The ladies wore a corsage of ivory flowers, rose, spray rose, white thistle and eustoma.

All our buttonholes are delivered pinned to a board and can be labelled if required.

The bride and two of the maids bouquets.

Bouquets are generally laid in a box for delivery onto a layer of packaging and layers of acid free tissue paper.

The 5 bridesmaids also wore a flower crown of white spray roses and hydrangea florets.

This was a fantastic wedding to play a small part in and tomorrow will be Part 2 with the ceremony and reception at Elsham Hall.

If you are planning a wedding either for 2017/18/19 and love these designs, please get in touch so we may discuss your colours and flowers and how we can help you achieve your flowery dreams.

Lincoln Wedding Fayre Oct 10

Thanks to all who came to see me on Sunday. A last minute change of venue meant I was in the Judges Lodges instead of The Lawn.

A selection of the arrangements on display.
A tulip table posy. A conical vase table centre of white eremus, tulips, green hydrangea and amaranthus, and blue thistle with various foliage.
A white and green pedestal.

A cyclamen hand held brides bouquet with fountain grass.

A small bowl table centre filled with purple hydrangea and bear grass on a base of glass rocks.

A large bowl table centre with roses, hydrangea, tulips and viburnum sat on a bed of black sisal.

A mirrored cube filled with gorgeous peach avalanche roses with diamante centres.

Me, Sandra, with my flowers at the Judges Lodgings.
Designs I didn't get round to photographing were:
A tall conical vase with a ball of pink hydrangeas eith calla lily detail.
An autumnal hand tied overarm bouquet with orange calla lily, peach roses, cyclamen and various berries.
A hand tied bouquet of pink hydrangea, roses and white cyclamen.
A bouquet of purple hydrangea with white tulips swirling around the outside entwined with wire and midelion sticks with hyacinth detail. Designed on a holder this was covered with foliage and ribbon trails hid the handle.
