Christmas Wreath Workshops

Looking towards Christmas, today we are looking at my wreath workshops.

This post was originally from last year, I have one definite date of 9th December 2-4pm at An Shen Acunpunture once again, where we will be creating designs similar to the photos below.

There will be other dates, just waiting to confirm. Please keep an eye on social media and on the website which will have a brand new page just for workshops through the year.

This last weekend was filled with Christmas Wreath Workshop activity. I now have 2 venues - 1 at Willingham by Stow Village Hall and 1 at An Shen Acupuncture Clinic on West Parade in Lincoln. Both are lovely rooms suitable for workshops and easy to get to for those attending.

The classes run for 2 hours which is plenty of time to learn the art of wreath making.

I use 10" Foam rings and bring a variety of foliage - Blue spruce, holly, yew and 2 types of cupress and let each individual choose which to use. I like to let the creativeness flow, no painting by numbers here. Each wreath will be different.

Once we are 'greened up' the decoration begins. A variety of ribbons, apples, oranges, baubles, tinsel, cinnamon sticks, cones and berries and artificial flowers can be mixed and matched. 

Most have once again gone for natural looking wreaths but after being asked last year I took a few fairy lights along (A small additional fee) and several ladies added these in.

Some stuck to a mix of cuppress and yew (above) and some to all spruce (below)

What would your choice be?

Tinsel and baubles perhaps?

Or a mix of all foliage?

The really fun part - learning how to make bows. I show better than explain!

Flower crown Workshop

Come along to a venue in Lincoln* (AnShen Acupuncture on West Parade will be the main base) with your nearest and dearest for an afternoon of flowery fun.
Learn how to make a flower crown that you can then wear for the rest of your celebrations. Suitable for the younger (minimum age 14) and older members of your family who maybe don't or can't trail round the bars. Or team it up with going out for a meal or afternoon tea** if drinking isn't for you.

I can either supplier neutral colour flowers or team it up with your wedding colours and flower varieties, depending on how secret you are keeping them. (If you are a bridesmaid I will need permission from the bride to use exact flowers/colours used for wedding. Otherwise it will be a general choice). All items required for each person to make a flower crown will be provided along with refreshments. 
Each workshop will run up for up to 3 hours, leaving plenty of time for fun and laughter with no pressure on getting crowns made.

6 guests (minimum) £240 (£40 each)
8 guests £300 (£37.50 each)
11 guests £350 (£35 each and bride goes FREE)

£40 booking fee required to hold the date per workshop and final payment is 3 weeks before. 

*Other venues can be arranged such as your home. Mileage charges will apply. 
** Afternoon Tea can be arranged to coincide with the workshop for an additional fee. Please ask for details.

Mother's Day Hand tie workshop

This morning I want to tell you about the workshop I have coming up;

Mother's day flowers

Saturday 25th March

Come along to learn the techniques of creating a hand tied bouquet. We will go through step by step of putting these designs together. You will then be able to use this method each time you buy flowers for the home - making it easier to display in a vase.

There will be a variety of seasonal flowers and foliage aswell as all other materials required included. 
This workshop is perfectly timed to give as a gift for Mothering Sunday. Come along and make your display to give to mum or bring her along and spend a couple of flowery hours together.

All materials included and refrehments will be on hand throughout.

£35 per person payment on booking.

These are a selection from last year's workshop.

The course is held at An Shen Acupuncture at 26 West Parade, Lincoln, LN1 1JT and runs 2-4pm.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you!!

2017 is finally here! Many of you will be excited to be finally getting wed this year and maybe for others the excitement is new as you were proposed to over the holiday! Congratulations!!

Sandra's Flower Studio is here to support you with lots of advice and inspiration for your wedding flowers and styling. Sneak peaks always after the day so we don't ruin the surprise of  your guests attending your day. Festive wreath Workshop

Are you creative? Or would you like to be? Take a couple of hours out from the rush of Christmas and take some me time. We all need to do this more, so why not join me for an evening and learn how to make and design your own door wreath. Don't be like the crowd and buy a generic one from the supermarket, get those creative juices flowing and design your own masterpiece to hang on YOUR front door. Be the envy of the street and your friends, or bring them along to for some festive cheer.
Suitable for all, every year I have one guest who swears they won't be able to make one look anything like and every year that person goes away happy with their creation. Go on give it a go this Christmastide.

Also December 10th 2-4pm at AnShen on West Parade.
