Blue, white and ivory wedding flowers

This is such a gorgeous colour scheme for May. The flowers are in season, summer is starting but still with a hint of spring varieties.
The bride had chosen powder blue as her main colour and we added in differing shades to give the flowers some depth along with the white and ivory.

Flowers included white tulips and alstroemeria, small ivory roses, blue hydrangea, muscari, thistle, agapanthus and veronica

The stems were bound with satin ribbon

The 4 bridesmaids each carried a similar style bouquet but as they were wearing blue we chose more whites and ivories.

These included tulips, roses, alstroemeria, muscari and thistles.

Stems were bound in the same blue ribbon.

All the groomsmen each wore a buttonhole of a tulip with muscari and hydrangea floret with a curled leaf.

The two mum's wore a wrist corsage of a mix of flowers from the brides bouquet.

Wedding reception flowers at Branston Hall follow on tomorrow.

Pink and White Tulips

Julia’s wedding was an intimate affair at The Bentley Hotel. Wanting to keep the flowers simple and seasonal she chose tulips. Her colour’s of white and pale pink suit tulips perfectly.
The bridal bouquet was a hand tied design of the two colours with pitto foliage as a small collar.

The men all wore a double white tulip buttonhole with pitto and tree fern foliage.

Thrumpton Hall wedding open day

Yesterday I was exhibiting at Thrumpton Hall wedding open day. This was my stand in the large marquee.
I based my designs on spring and kept the colours fairly neutral. The first bouquet was a hand-tie of ivory roses with bouvardia and amaryllis with ginesta and pitto. The stems were bound fully with ivory satin ribbon with a lace overlay.
The second bouquet was another hand-tie of white tulips, yellow sol d'or and ginesta with eucalyptus. The stems were bound with yellow ribbon. This is a gorgeous scented bouquet.
One of the table centres was my new candelabras. This time I thought I would create a ring of flowers around the base. This had ivory roses, spray roses, freesia, stallion chrysants and ginesta. A mix of eucalyptus and pitto foliage.
I also decided to create a flower crown of orchids, roses, mimosa and ginesta with eucalyptus and ivy. These are getting very popular in fashion shoots and with brides.
Another table centre was one of my new black urns. This was designed to match in with the spring bouquet with tulips and sol d'or mixed foliage and birch twigs. This was sat on a large mirror with my star tea light holders.

My view yesterday, this was fairly late on when most people had gone from the marquee.
A couple of views from around the hall. The lake at the front of the hall
and the view of some of the gardens. It must look stunning on a beautiful summers day, rather than a cold, wet wintry one.

Tulip wedding

Emily's wedding flowers were all about tulips, they are an excellent choice for April after all. From the word go nothing else was considered, it was just what colour to have?
Her bridal hand tie was a mass of pink and purple tulip flowers, nothing added with the stems wrapped in white satin ribbon.
The bridesmaid, who's dress was a shade of pink, carried a similar bouquet but of white tulips.
The men each wore a single white tulip buttonhole with ruscus foliage.
While the groom matched his bride with a double tulip buttonhole.
The mum's were given a small white tulip corsage with ruscus foliage and genista.
