Purple and white bridal flowers

 A lovely purple and ivory wedding with gorgeous summer flowers.
The brides bouquet consisted of purple freesia, September flower and eustoma and ivory germini, roses, astilbe and wax flower with tree fern.

 Designed in a hand tied with purple satin ribbon around the stems.

 Laura's bridesmaids carried a similar style bouquet with ivory satin ribbon around the stems.

All the buttonholes were delivered with the bridal flowers, to be handed out by the father of the bride. The groomsmen each wore a single ivory rose with fern.

The groom wore a collection of flowers from the brides bouquet in the two colours

 while the ladies wore a corsage all in ivory, roses, astilbe and wax flower with fern.

Purple bouquet ideas

 Are you having purple as your main colour? Looking for bouquet ideas? Here are a few examples that previous brides have carried.
Above, a bouquet of amnesia and avalanche roses with gyp and eucalyptus foliage.

If you are looking for a more subtle colour mix, how about this bouquet of ivory roses, blue agapanthus, lavander, freesia, pink eustoma and veronica. Eucalyptus adding to the colour shade.

If you are after a truly purple flower, you can't beat purple eustoma. Teamed with ivory roses and fern it gives a stark contrast.

Want more purple? Add in purple freesia and less roses.

More subtle? Ivory roses, freesia and bouvardia, with a few eustoma flowers.

Having a spring wedding and want purple, how about purple tulips?

Just remember purple is a strong colour on its own and if your maids are in this colour they will need something lighter to carry. Be it a mix of darker and lighter flowers or just lighter ones. Think about having a range of shades from dark purple to very pale lilac this gives a more natural look to your flowers and if carried through your wedding does save on the difficulty of matching different fabrics etc. As long as it all tones it will work.

Weston Rooms, Gainsborough

Kelly's wedding reception was held at The Weston Rooms in Gainsborough. The purple and ivory colour scheme was carried through all the table dressings.
For the top table Kelly had requested three separate arrangements instead of one large central display.

The flowers were mainly those used in the bridal flowers: Ivory roses, purple eustoma and freesia and eryngiums with ivory stallion.

The three displays were spread equally along the long top table.

Each of the guest tables had a traditional style posy in the same matching flowers.

The Weston Rooms all set ready for the gorgeous bride and groom and their guests.

I also provide matching thank you hand-ties for those all important people.                                                

Purple and Silver Martini vase

I was asked if I could supply an arrangement for Gainsborough Old Hall's stand at The Lincolnshire Life's wedding fayre at Hemswell court. As one of their preferred suppliers I was only too happy to oblige. The colours had to be purple and silver and with that in mind I used one of my smaller black martini vases with purple eustoma, freesia, September and statice with silver willow and bear grass.
