Purple Calla lily wedding flowers

I loved this wedding, the purple calla lily are just stunning.
Marianne brought in a photo of a bouquet she had seen online and asked if I could recreate as close as possible. The bouquet was full of calla's, large leaves behind and bear grass with pearls threaded through the flowers.

We agreed on the colour of the calla's and left the foliage to me.

These callas had a natural bend in the stem and they naturally trailed to give a shower type shape.

The one bridesmaid had a smaller overarm bouquet with a more rigid shape to the design.

The two flower girls carried a posy of 3 calla lily, loops of bear grass and a few small dark leaves.

All stems were bound with ivory satin ribbon.

The groomsmen wore a single calla lily with loops of aspidistra and beargrass

The other special guests wore a single ivory rose with bear grass loops and dark small leaves.

All buttonholes had matching ivory ribbon.

Buttonholes ready to be presented to the bridal party.

I was honoured to be asked to provide these wedding flowers and was very happy to be given a hug by the bride on delivery and her comment of 'They are much better than I had hoped for' really does make the stress of trying to recreate a design more than worthwhile.

If you love calla lily and would love these designs for your wedding or just love the different style please get in touch to book a consultation today.

Poachers Country Hotel wedding reception

J & L held their lovely summer wedding reception at the glorious Poachers Country Hotel.

Another new venue for us! And what a gorgeous place it is. So well looked after and dressed inside with excellent staff which always helps with delivery and set up.

The top table had a lovely long and low design, filled with summer loveliness. The same flower mix as the bridal bouquets (here). Astrantia, roses, spray roses, wax flower and gyp.

Such gorgeous colours and flowers.

The guest tables were split, high and lows. The lows were these magnificent mercury vases with a gorgeous display of flowers as per the top table.

These were placed on mirrors and really sparkled in the light, tea lights would be lit later in the evening creating an awesome atmosphere.

The high designs were our stunning crystal gem candelabras. These were dressed with a gyp, wax flower and eucalyptus garland.

These truly make a stunning statement and add that WOW factor to your tables.

The bride and grooms view from the top table. The venue provide vases for the bouquets to sit in to add to your decorations.

The wonderful cake by Cherry Blossom Cakes, surrounded by real flowers by us. The gorgeous blush roses herein beautiful bud vases with blush ribbon detail.

The stunning set up at The Poachers Country Hotel all dressed and ready to welcome the new Mr and Mrs.

A short video of one of the table designs.

This is the wonderful testimonial left for us by the very happy bride.

Sandra was professional from the first consultation we had for our wedding flowers. She took the ideas we had and our budget (very important for any bride to be) and created the most amazing arrangements. There is nothing like planning a wedding and sourcing good quality suppliers for your wedding is something most people only do once so going off good recommendation was on the top of our list, Sandra did not disappoint.
Sandra delivered mine and the bridesmaids bouquets at the reception on the morning of our wedding and from that moment I knew she had got my vision. The smell as she walked into the room with that big box was amazing.
The reception room was transformed by her creations, a change in height to the table arrangements added interest to a long room and again the smell of the fresh beautiful flowers was amazing.
So many compliments from all the guests and mums, nans, bridesmaids and ourselfs have enjoyed having the arrangements in our homes for days after.
So Sandra thank you for making our vision come alive I could not recommenced you enough to any other bride to be!

Are you getting married at this venue? Love this style and colouring? Please get in contact with us and let us create equally stunning designs for your wedding day.

We look forward to hearing from you very soon

Holy Trinity Church Spilsby wedding decorations

J & L held their ceremony in the wonderful Holy Trinity Church Spilsby. Not a church we have visited before and it was a wonderful experience setting up. Not only is it beautiful inside but the band were warming up and rehearsing so we got a full rendition of some of the numbers the guests would be singing along to!

The pew ends were dressed with a combination of flowers and bows.
The flowers were a mix from the bridal bouquet (Which you can view here), blush rose, gyp, astrantia, wax flower and Dusty Miller and tied together with a lovely satin blush bow.

The bows were lovely blush organza, which make a gorgeous full bow and tails.

The brides view down the aisle

and the grooms view up the aisle.

A very simple way to dress your church but it does add a touch of your style and gives your guests a taste of what is to come.
These can also be taken away and used at your venue as chair back decorations or to hang on doors etc.

If you are having a church service, ask us how we can evolve your bouquet style to the church and dress your pews and possibly more.
See some other churches we have dressed by searching on the right labels under Church:

Blush, pink and ivory wedding flower mix for summer

A fabulous wedding in blush, pink and ivory, such a glorious mix of flowers!
Congratulations to J & L it was a joy to be part of your day.

All the bridal flowers were a combination of roses, astrantia, eustoma, spray roses, wax flower and gyp with cineraria and eucalyptus foliage.
The bride's bouquet was filled with a scrumptious mix of these summer blooms and foliage.

The stems were bound with blush ribbon held with pearl headed pins.

There were 2 adult bridesmaids who carried a smaller version of the bridal bouquet

a smaller version for the teenager

and a cute small posy for the flower girl.

Using the same flower mix throughout really brings all the different elements of your ladies look together.

The groomsmen all wore a simple single rose and gyp buttonhole, some had blush and some ivory, each had ivory shoelace ribbon part bound around the stems.
A tip for you lady's: If you want to split designs do let me know beforehand as that list won't be at hand on the day (however organised you are!) and others may not know (remember!!) your intentions.

The blush roses ready for the groomsmen,

and the ivory ones.

The bridal bouquets all together,

and packed for delivery and presentation to the bride.

This really was a beautiful colour scheme for a summer wedding, my photos don't do them justice.
If you love this style and would love to have similar for your own day then do get in touch to discuss how to progress and start the process.

Other colour combinations can also be achieved with similar flowers so don't despair if you don't have blush/pink as your colour scheme. Again get in touch and let us advise how we can best achieve your dream flowers in your colours.

I look forward to hearing from you soon
