Sweetness rose hand-tied bouquet I first met Shab at The Lincoln wedding fayre when I was exhibiting at The Judges Lodgings. We discussed briefly her requirements, and she was quick to point out it was only going to be a small do and would this be a problem. As I told Shab at the time, the way I see this is; A wedding is a wedding whether it be an intimate do or a lavish and grand affair, flowers, to me, are part and parcel of any wedding and as such I am happy to create as much or as little as each bride requires. |
As the bride was going to be wearing a red and gold dress and didn't want to carry anything too large, we decided on a hand-tie of roses. The next decision, and this took a while to get the right shade, was the colour of the rose. The one chosen initially was eventually decided would be too pink and so Sweetness was picked. A lovely two tone rose with outer petals of red and ivory to cream centres. This was teamed with gyp and tree fern with a collar of salal. The stems were wrapped in ivory satin ribbon and pinned with diamantes to match the ones in the centre of the roses.
As it was an intimate do, only two guest tables were required. These were simply a fishbowl with 3 floating sweetness roses with bear grass swirls and added diamantes, sat on a mirror. As the room was going to be turned around after the service I had to rely on the lovely staff at Charlotte House Hotel to set up.
The registrars table display was also going to double up as the top table centrepiece.
This consisted of red and ivory and sweetness roses, white lilies, freesia and gyp with an assortment of foliage.
From above
The buttonholes for the men were a single sweetness rose with foliage.
The groom wore a single red rose to match his brides dress and a corsage was also provided.http://charlottehouselincoln.com/
