Purple bouquet ideas

Are you having purple as your main colour? Looking for bouquet ideas? Here are a few examples that previous brides have carried.
Above, a bouquet of amnesia and avalanche roses with gyp and eucalyptus foliage.
A mixed eustoma bouquet, purple, white and bi coloured white with a purple edge, with fountain grass.
Picasso and schwartzwalder calla lilies with white gerberas and foliage.
Or how about an overarm bouquet of call lilies and beargrass.
Or a posy hand tie of Picasso calla lilies.
A mixed bouquet of avalanche roses and calla lilies with purple eustoma and freesia.

If you are looking for a more subtle colour mix, how about this bouquet of ivory roses, blue agapanthus, lavander, freesia, pink eustoma and veronica. Eucalyptus adding to the colour shade.

If you are after a truly purple flower, you can't beat purple eustoma. Teamed with ivory roses and fern it gives a stark contrast.
Want more purple? Add in purple freesia and less roses.
More subtle? Ivory roses, freesia and bouvardia, with a few eustoma flowers.
Having a spring wedding and want purple, how about purple tulips?

Just remember purple is a strong colour on its own and if your maids are in this colour they will need something lighter to carry. Be it a mix of darker and lighter flowers or just lighter ones. Think about having a range of shades from dark purple to very pale lilac this gives a more natural look to your flowers and if carried through your wedding does save on the difficulty of matching different fabrics etc. As long as it all tones it will work.
These are a few of my designs, I have plenty more available. Please ask for details.

Topiary Balls

Topiary balls are also available to hire. I currently have them in square silver tubs but I hope to have a mix of pots available soon. The balls can be dressed with fresh flowers if you wish for an added charge or with hired silk flowers included in the price. Fairy lights are also available.
The balls can also be dressed suitable to hang around your venue. They can be used inside or out, wherever there are hangers.

Vases and candelabras for hire

Are you looking to hire items for your wedding? I have a selection of vases, candelabras and bowls which are available to hire either with or without flowers.
Above is one of my spectacular crystal chimney candelabras. They are taller than the average candelabra and with the crystal chimneys are more expensive but they work equally well on their own or with added flowers
I also hire out a selection of fish bowls in sizes from 8" - 14" and have mirrors in two sizes.
Silver single candlesticks are an alternative to the candelabras.
Silver hurricane vases are also available, again these are a larger size than most places have.
I have martini vases in 4 different sizes, these are the lower ones but also available are 70 cm tall, 40 cm tall and black mini vases.
Glass cubes are a great alternative to fish bowls for lower arrangements.
I also provide bay trees. These can be dressed in colours to suit each wedding at no extra charge.

If you are hiring to DIY I can arrange delivery to you at home or your venue to suit and will collect after the event. A small local delivery charge will apply. For events further afield please enquire with a postcode for delivery/collection prices.

Pumpkin vases and candlesticks

New for this year.....Small candlesticks and pumpkin vases. The candlesticks are in a pale smokey blue, as above, in three different sizes.
The soft pink are in two sizes. They look great on there own or mixed in colours/sizes.
I have matching pumpkin vases in both colours which look fabulous on their own with a night candle or filled with a dainty mix of flowers.
The pumpkin vases also come in silver.

These are all available to hire with flowers for your wedding or if you prefer you can hire to DIY. Candles are included with each hire. Please note: It is up to the hirer to clear the use of candles with each venue. I accept no liability for any damaged cause.

Guest table ideas

Looking for venue ideas? Today I'm looking at some of the different options available.
Above are a mix of high and low designs both with pink lilies and willow. The height works well in a marquee drawing the eye through the venue but not overpowering you with the addition of the low designs.
Fish bowls are a popular option with many different flower designs. These are a hand tie of Iris, roses and thistles with eucalyptus.
Another conical vase arrangement with a mixed design of lilies, amaranthus roses, gerberas and mixed foliage.
A low zinc bucket sprayed to match the brides colour scheme with a variety of summer blooms.
Glass cubes with classic white blooms of Calla and oriental lilies and curcumas these were on low coffee tables in the venue as well as on guest tables.
An autumnal mix of flowers in a low cylinder adds colour especially on a dark cloth. But why stick with white?
A cute idea for a tea party. We used tea, coffee and sugar containers with 5 gerberas and added in iced gems.
Carnations are staging a comeback and these are fabulous for a purple themed wedding. A table ring of bi coloured carnations and gyp with midelino loops.
Another quirky idea for a village fete or garden theme, wellington boots. Add in some gorgeous summer blooms and foliage.
Going for the minimalist look? Calla lilies in a bowl.
A taller minimal design.Willow and gerberas but using the vase as part of the whole design.
Roses in lily vases work with the room to add a little height to the tables without distracting from the room decor.
Large martini vases add a statement to a room. They work very well in a blank canvass as a marquee.
Low martini vases are an alternative to the fish bowls.
Add a block of colour to your tables with a fish bowl filled with one flower. These can then be given away as gifts for your guests.
If you want to co-ordinate your table designs with a hard to match in flowers colour, wrap a container in matching material.
Traditional posies are still a popular choice and are a self contained gift for guests.
Have personal containers you want to incorporate? This was from a brides collection of tea pots. All tables had a different tea pot but the same flowers which tied the theme together.
 Candles work well in bowls.
 Or in small martini vases.
Candleabras don't have to be tall. Try these cute alternatives.
A vintage them? Tea party? Include a tea service into your designs.

These are just a small selection of what is available. I can design and create so much more.....ask to see more.

Wedding fayre update

A quick post today as I have been busy with sorting out quotes.

I shall be exhibiting at Gainsborough Old Hall's wedding fayre on Sunday 28 April. I shall be in The West Range where I have been on previous occasions. Please come along to see this fabulous venue and its suppliers.

I shall also be involved somehow in Elsham Hall's open weekend. I'm not quite sure what I shall be providing but once Elaine has a theme in mind I shall have more information for you. Keep checking for updates.
