Fabulous flowers

Some of the fabulous flowers available this week.
The gorgeous red passion rose, a favourite red rose for bouquets. Cymbidium mini orchids at their best, a lovely shade of green with a burgundy coloured lip.
Another green flower, a button chrysant.

English bloom chrysants, again gorgeous at this time of year.

Cerise pink spray roses full of blooms.

Burgundy red anthurriums.

30cm Glass vase

NEW IN!!
30cm tall glass cylinder vase ideal for table centres. Low enough for a minimal arrangement (as photo) not to obscure the view for people sat opposite. Tall and wide enough to take a full arrangement should you prefer.
Please get in touch if you would like a quote.

Epic Centre

A big 'thank you' to Bernadette at Lincolnshire Lanterns for asking me to provide a table display for a photo shoot at the Epic Centre.
I created a long and low arrangement with white oriental lilies and eustoma on a bed of mixed foliage.

These photos were provided by Bernadette and hopefully she will be sending some of the official photos when ready.

Buttonholes and corsages

The buttonholes and corsages from Sue and Darens wedding. The ladies wore a single white rose buttonhole with white spray rose buds and gold hypericum.

The mums wore a cymbidium orchid corsage, white spray roses with various foliage.

The men wore white rose buttonholes with skimmia and hypericum and foliage.
All buttonholes were individually labelled with the recipients name and relation to the bride or groom. It was my job to pin on each of them as the guests arrived.

Reception Flowers

Sue and Daren's wedding reception was at a Haven holiday park in Perranporth. This was chosen for many reasons but mainly so family and friends travelling down could stay on the park and all be together for the celebrations. The reception was held in the Surf Rider club.
The large top table design was a traditional long and low in reds, golds, whites and greens. Flowers included germini, lilies, cymbidium orchids, roses, hydangea, hypericum, amaranthus and various ferns and foliage.
The reception in full flow.

The finished set up. It was decided to place all the high conical vases on the back tables and bowls on the front.
The chair covers were provided by a local company and finished with bows by the bride and friends.
The pew ends from church were utilised on the rail around the bar area.

The 3 pedestals from church were brought to the reception and 2 placed either side of the top table and one near the entrance to the club.

One of the conical vases. These had lilies, roses, gerberas, amaranthus, hypericum and various foliages and palms.

The table set up again created by the bride and friends.

Another conial vase.

View of the tables from the bar area.

The top table design. Unfortunately when setting up minimal light was on. Hopefully when I receive some of the photos from the professional photographer they will be better lit.

The bowl arrangements.

The bowl arrangements had roses, hydrangeas, cymbidium orchids, hypericum, skimmia and various foliage including fountain grass and green trachelium.

Conical vases.

St Gluvias Church, Penryn

St Gluvias church was the setting for Sue and Daren's blessing. A gorgeous church with alot of light made a welcome sight on Friday when I arrived with the pedestals and vases. I was busy finishing off the arrangements while the wedding rehersal went ahead. Sue had decided on two pedestals at the front of the aisle, one at the back facing the doorway and 2 large vase arrangements which were to be positioned near the door. However after talking to the vicar it was decided to place these on two small tables at the back of the church. The pew ends were made and hung in position Saturday just before the service.

A simple pew end of a single white rose, fountain grass, skimmia, hypericum berries and galax leaves.

The pedestals included white oriental lilies, cream roses, germinis, eustoma and stallion chrysants with red gerberas and plenty of foliage.

The flowers behind were created by the church ladies and greatly added to the floral display.

I also added to the porch 4 bowls from the reception and two baytrees, one either side the entrance. Unfortunately I never got around to taking photos as I became involved with pinning on everyones buttonhole.

Red white and gold wedding

Flowers from the wedding of Sue and Daren. Unfortunately I was so busy with the flowers I never got round to taking any photos of the ladies holding the flowers. I have been promised some though, so keep looking.

Sue's bridesmaids, of which there were four, wore gorgeous full length gold dresses, so we decided to keep the flowers neutral. I used white roses, stephanotis and veronica, gold roses, and various foliage. They were all hand tied posies with gold ribbon wrapped around the stems.

Sue's bouquet was a trailing hand tied posy but in red and white to tone in with the dress. In this I used red roses, hypericum berries, skimmia with white cymbidium orchids, lilies, roses, veronica and stephanotis. various foliage was used including fountain grass, asparagus fern and bear grass.

A tall table centre in a clear vase filled with dewdrops to give an ice effect. 3 large calla lilies with palm and aspidistra leaves with bear grass and silver ting ting.
