The Deli Bistro Cancer Charity Ball

Back at the beginning of October The Deli Bistro on Burton Marina held a Ball in aid of two cancer charities; Cancer Research and Prostate Cancer. This was to be the first function held in the new luxury marquee at the marina.
I was asked if I would like to be involved and jumped at the chance to dress this wonderful marquee with flowers. I donated both the flowers and my time to these worthwhile charities to maximise the money raised.

The top photo is the marquee with black table linen and chair covers with cerise pink bows but no flowers, hopefully to show how the flowers especially the taller arrangements fill the space.

I did a mixture of high and low designs to take into account the sloping ceiling and the table setup.
The low designs were a glass cube with a few sprigs of willow with cerise pink oriental lilies, laurel foliage and pine cones.
The tall displays were lots of willow for height, cerise pink lilies stems and bear grass which were all arranged in a conical vases.

There was also a chill out area for VIP guests which was treated to its own display.

I hope all those that attended had a fantastic night and raised lots of money for the charities concerned.
