The Secret Garden and Elsham Hall open days

Being at a bit of a loose end this afternoon I decided I would call in at two local venues that were having an open day.
The first was The Secret Garden at Gringley on the Hill. Having never been here before but having been told lots about it by other suppliers I was intrigued as to where it was and what they provided. Just off the main road from Gainsborough to Bawtry it was easy to find and with a man on the gate I was soon parked up. Even then you still cannot see the main venue, but this area gives you a glimpse into the style of the venue. Going through a passage way and round a corner you are greeted with a courtyard that opens up into a fabulous part of the garden. Going into a small marquee I was told that this along with a room this is attached to is where you have the civil service. Then depending on your requirements you can have a larger marquee for your reception or have the small marquee opened up to seat your guests to give the impression of sitting outside. The garden itself is divided up by trees and shrubs to give secluded corners and quiet areas for some magical photo opportunities.
You are able to personalise your day your way with very few limitations.

The second venue I visited was Elsham Hall with the fabulous Elaine of Bride Beautiful.
The Barn was set up in a pink blossom theme with one half as a civil ceremony space and the other as a reception. If you are having a smaller wedding this would make a great way to fill the space. Or for larger guest numbers the room can be set for a civil ceremony then turned around for the reception.

An alternative to The Barn is The Garden Room. A gorgeous smaller room for an intimate wedding.

As an extra to these two rooms is also the advantage of having the gardens of Elsham Hall as a backdrop for your photos.
You are able to personalise your day your way and Elaine has a fantastic Aladdin's cave of goodies which you are able to use if you choose.
