Wedding venues vary greatly in style and space, with some being lovely intimate venues with low ceilings and cosy space, others are like vast caverns with lots of room and high ceilings. You need to bare this in mind when choosing your table centrepieces. You don't necessarily need to go high with high ceilings and stay low with low ones but the overall look as you enter the room will change depending on the height of your designs.
If you have a venue with high ceilings, then it is advisable to have a few taller designs to take your eye through the space, you can combine with low designs or have a few different designs of varying height if you prefer.
Another point to bare in mind is leave room for your guest to talk across the table. Taller designs shouldn't block the view, they should be either able to see through or underneath, or your guests will move them and then all your effort will be wasted. (yes they will move them, I have seen it happen even after explaining the problem and being told no-one would dare move them)
Tall designs don't have to break the budget. Simple lily vases with 3 roses and bear grass adds height and colour to your tables.
Pastel or white roses add a touch of romance
Lilies also look fabulous in these vases, a good stem (or 2) of scented lily will fill the room and bring colour to the top end of a marquee for example.
Or keep it neutral for a classic look.
For a more dramatic style these cerise pink lily added with willow for even more height look stunning with the dark tables.
A fuller design of cream lilies in a lower vase but with two heights of flowers allowing guests to see through.
If your venue is very decorative you may decide to keep it simple with foliage, here we have palm leaves in a large trumpet vase, add in leaves across the table to complete the style.
A marquee will always take colour, it lifts the plain white of the walls and ceiling. Add flower balls on top of tall candlesticks, lots of autumn varieties used for these.
Or pastel summer flowers for a contemporary style at Cleatham Hall.
Lily vases can also be styled with flower balls, Keeping it all white for an Easter wedding
or pretty in pink for a summer reception at The DoubleTree Hotel.
Larger summer flower balls with Salmon pink flowers
and pink and blue summer loveliness at Doddington Hall on tall conical vases.
Matching in with the same flower mix on tall silver candelabras ring the changes if you are having lots of tables.
Another candelabra with pretty pastel pinks and ivory bring a classic style to your reception
or go full on with crystal gem candelabras with a full flower garland to wow your guests.
A budget friendly option is to hire the candelabra and let us drape foliage around it with a single hanging rose from each arm
either on it's own or with added flowers at the base.
A fuller garland of gyp, eucalyptus and wax flower adds lots of scent to your venue.
Martini vases are another option, lots of heights/bowl sizes to choose from. The most popular are these 60 cm filled with lots of lovely flowers and foliage.
Getting married at the same venue as your reception? Use them to line the aisle (making it longer for a more dramatic entrance)
Then add to guest tables to create that WOW when your guests walk in.
They work with any colour and flower, from pastels to bold reds
pretty peaches
Country yellows
or pinks and purples.
Our smaller designs with 50cm vases, are easy to fill with smaller flower varieties.
Or if you want to blow your guests away, these huge flower balls stood own top of our gorgeous silver urns make fabulous displays. Use on their own to make a statement entrance display or on your tables for a magical setting for your wedding breakfast.
