Hemswell Court wedding flowers

Today we start a series of looking at different wedding venues, the more popular ones we have set up at over the years.
We start with the stunning Hemswell Court.
One of my closest venues and an absolute dream to set up at. You always know a great  venue when the staff will do all they can to help suppliers and make our job of setting up your flowers as easy as is possible.

The ceremony room is a warm and homely setting with this lovely table as the focus of the room. Whether you dress it with a long and low

or a posy you have a fantastic setting for saying 'I Do'.

The dining room is a lovely setting for an intimate do, gorgeous tables and chairs that don't need much else other than a few flowers to bring in your colour and style for the day.

These cute pot displays can be created in  your colours and are just the right size for the dining tables.
(Look familiar? This set up is on Hemswell Court's website homepage under Banqueting and on the Dining room page)

So to the main room for receptions, the Primrose Room.

The top table is usually a lovely large oval table, do bear this in mind when thinking of your flower display. There is quite a large area to fill, larger than most top tables so a fuller display or extra items may be needed.

For example this bride had a long and low and added two lily vases of roses at each end.

Or go with a fuller display with tea lights

With the room having such a high ceiling the tables can take tall designs, or a mixture of high and low if you have enough tables.

This royal blue set up may not be everyone's cup of tea but it is a striking effect.
Royal  blue roses in a tall lily vase, blue stones in the base too.

On other tables we placed a double fishbowl design with blue stones and ivory roses

Royal blue set up of the room.

All colours look gorgeous in here so the opposite of blue is burgundy, low fish bowls filled with burgundy flowers and a candle

or go brighter with stunning reds and tall martini vases with gerberas and roses

This was a Christmas wedding and went fabulously with the red decorations of the venue.

More of a pastel type of gal? Country style birdcages filled with a mix of pastel seasonal flowers.

Purple and yellow perhaps? Keep it simple with callas in a fish bowl to match the chair sashes.

Or go primrose with your flowers, roses in a lily vase to match the decor.

A brighter purple, this time September daisy and eustoma in lily vases

Or a mix of high and lows with purple filled martini vases of delphinium, carnations, chyrsants, alstroemeria, and foliage

with the low designs a glass cube with a mix from the bridal bouquet of orchids, roses, alstroemeria, and foliage.

The room ready and waiting for the happy couple.

Perhaps peach is more your colours?
Martini vases again but filled with lilies, alstroemeria, berries, stocks and more.

Jam jars can be used on their own or to compliment the taller displays.

Not a fan of the taller designs? What about these lovely low centrepieces of a fern plant, jam jar of flowers and a candle on a wood slice.

If you are getting married at Hemswell Court and would like to discuss your flowers, book a consultation with us to talk through your ideas. We are happy to meet here at The Studio or if you are having a viewing at the venue we can meet you there, just mention it to them beforehand.
